BSAN has coordinating an open training (maximum of 35 people) with the Purdue University Police Department for anyone interested in learning about verbal de-escalation! We are expanding to other forms of harm reduction. Verbal de-escalation is a form of harm reduction because its goal isn’t to immediately stop behavior. It’s to reduce the risk of harm in the moment.
